  • Significant optimizations to our server-side bans/comms systems
  • Some tweaking to how zone beams are displayed in surf, players FPS shouldn't dip as hard anymore when looking at start/end zones
  • Significant ban wave;
    • Several cheat groups banned
    • New alt accounts of recent VAC banned players banned
    • Several strafe hackers banned
  • Updated exploit crash fix ban module to include possibility of attempted cheat teleportation
  • Further fine-tuned aimbot detection, also bans are now logged publicly with deviation and weapon used
  • Updated strafe hack detection
  • Moved surf_jenocide to Easy Surf, as it is a T2 (was incorrectly labeled as a T3)
  • Switched our mapchooser on the surf servers. This means:
    • There is no more lag when nominations or mapvotes occur (hallelujah). This was caused by the sheer number of maps we had.
    • This should also stop random incorrect tier maps loading when the server is empty (a rare occurrence)
    • 30 second cooldown of the nominate command has been removed
    • Slightly better performance (probably insignificant, but every little bit helps)
  • Cleaned up a few incorrectly named or duplicated maps in the points system, everything should be nicely consistent
Post in the issues section of the forum if there are any mislabeled or missing maps with the mapchooser change. Bhop will get this treatment next, it just takes a lot of time.
CS:CO Server Updates:
  • Map pool was getting a little stale with only 12 maps, so I've added several new maps (you'll recognize several custom ones from 1.6 & source!):
    • awp_map_classic
    • awp_rooftops
    • cs_italy_csco
    • de_cbble_csgo_final
    • de_rats_1337
    • de_westwood
  • Finally added the store to the server (accessible with !store)
  • Additional potential fixes to players getting kicked instead of bots if the server is full
  • Added !timeplayed command
  • Maximum cash is now $10,000. My logic behind this is that if you're stomping hard enough to get $16k, AND armor is free, it's worthwhile to give the other team a chance to break the winning team's economy.
  • Lowered roundtime to 1:45 to move things along
  • Added further restrictions to prevent team stacking
  • Added anti-teamflash plugin to prevent griefing
  • Lowered time it takes for an AFK player to get moved to spectator
Bhop server:
  • Added !timeplayed command
1v1 Arenas server:
  • Updated challenge plugin, should return you to your previous arena now
CS:CO Updates
  • Added CS:CO server info to the servers tab on the website (thanks Quik)
  • Blocked radio commands to prevent trolling
  • Removed fy_snow_csco from map rotation, as it was causing massive frame drops for many players and borderline unplayable for others
  • Increased halftime pause duration for more of a "break"
  • Decreased end of round timer
  • Added bots back, increased warmup timer to alleviate any possible issues with players getting kicked instead of bots on map change
CS:CO, 1v1 Arenas, Minigames:
  • Added SMAC-Bans global database protection. If a user was convicted of cheating on another server, they will not be able to join these servers.

With a new year comes new adventures, new challenges, and new friends! 2016 was an awesome year, and I can't wait to see what 2017 will bring us.

CS:CO Server Updates (Day 1) - These are changes/additions after the first initial release of the server. Probably forgot a lot since there was so much changed.
  • Raised player limit to 22 players
  • Added 2 reserved slots
  • Reworked chat filter (now works)
  • Fixed anti mic spam plugin
  • Alltalk should work after half without issue now
  • Added flashlight (blocks inspect weapon, F key now functions exactly like 1.6, with a flashlight!)
  • Added spinhack ban module
  • Added movement-based anticheat
  • Bots removed, was causing issues kicking players for full server upon map change
  • Limit teams so there is no major numbers imbalance
