tldr; noI just found out what external turn binds are, and what they allow surfers to do. Are they allowed to be used? Coulndt find anything in the forum addressing it.
Also tldr; you don't need turnbinds at allFrom my understanding some maps aren't even doable without turn binds
If you're talking about using a third party program to 'fine tune' turn binds - use at your own risk. I'm aware of a program that does this which some surfers use... but don't be surprised if one day Valve recognizes external assistance that is being utilized with their game client and issues a VAC/game ban.
Not worth the potential risk imo.
We have on rare occasion seen movement recorders. I believe in all instances except for one, they were picked up by the anticheat. These work very, very differently.whos to stop somoene from making a completely programmed route using this kind of external software?
I appreciate it the reply. yeah i remember source. it was built in though. oh well. i doubt anyone will notice if i stopped surfing anyway. ill be garbage at it regardless.I wouldn't put too much thought into it - the ability to have a fine tuned turnbind speed has a miniscule impact on actual runs. The ability to adjust the rate of your turn binds was in CS:S, and unfortunately did not make it over to CS:GO.
In my opinion, it's more convenience than anything else. This feature isn't a replacement for skill.
