As with every year, I like to do a 'Year In Review' as a bit of a report card on how we're doing as a community. If you like statistics or are just curious of numbers, feast your eyes below!

    Skill Surf:
    • In 2018, we had 149,470 unique players from 151 different countries. This is a growth increase of 29% since the previous year.
    • The most popular day in 2018 was December, where we had 6,358 connections to our surf servers, from 2,355 unique players.
    • The quietest day we had was on April 30th, where we only had 1,425 connections. This was due to an update Valve released that broke quite a bit, so the servers were unplayable for the better part of that evening. Funny enough, this was exactly a year and 5 days after another critically breaking update last year, where we also had our slowest day.
    • The player with the most time in 2018 had a whopping 1,335 hours!
    • We currently have 672 maps in rotation throughout all of our servers, this is up 62 since last year when I made the year in review post.
    • In 2018, we had 46,961 Bonus completions, 178,260 Map completions, and 1,610,923 Stage completions.
    • The most popular map by playtime was surf_kitsune_fix, with 4,796 hours played. That is just short of 199 days of playtime. While the number is high, it looks like Kitsune is slowly losing the lead on being 'the most played map', and a larger variety of maps are being selected/played.

    Competitive Servers:
    • In 2018, we had 130,678 unique players from 146 different countries. This is a whopping 60% increase over 2017, partially due to the great success of our newly opened Retakes servers at the end of 2017.
    • The most popular day was October 4th with 9,287 connections, from 3,550 unique players.
    • The slowest day, as with the Surf servers, was April 30th due to a CS:GO update that broke lots of things.
    • The most popular map for Retakes is de_mirage, followed by de_cache, and de_inferno.
    • The most popular maps on the 1v1 Arenas servers are am_basement, am_banana_40, and am_grass2.
    • The player with most time in 2018 has 439 hours.
    • 1v1 Arenas: The player with the most wins (lifetime of server) has 45,330 wins and 25,906 losses. The player with the most losses (lifetime of server) has 36,490 losses, and 37,034 wins.
    • Retakes: The player with the most kills (lifetime of server) has 17,623 kills, 2539 assists, and 17,395 deaths. This player also has the most deaths!

    KZ Servers:
    • In 2018, we had 67,580 unique players from 139 different countries. That's a 185% increase from 2017!
    • The day with the most traffic was August 19th, with 2,174 connections from 931 unique players.
    • The most popular map by playtime was kz_colors_v2 yet again this year, by a massive margin. The map had 4611 hours worth of playtime (192 days), which was almost double the #2 map (kz_spacemario_h @ 2537h).
    • The player who had the most play time in 2018 racked up 2,175 hours, with the #2 slot having 1,393 hours.

    Miscellaneous:
    • We had 4,237 automatic anticheat bans in 2018, this number does not include manual bans. This is a 118% increase from 2017. As of the end of January 2019, we have already reached 25% of 2018's total anti-cheat bans, so expect this number to be greatly increased.
    • 2,238 alternate accounts of cheaters have attempted to rejoin and have gotten auto-banned, a 145% increase from last year.
    • As of the end of 2018, we now have over 1,000 people on Discord.
    • 667 people have registered here on the website in 2018.
    • 203 unique donors contributed to keeping our servers up in 2018. Thank you so very much for your continued support and belief in our community!
Thank you all for an awesome 2018!
