No Change/Rejected Map missing

I keep tryna play this map surf bonkers v2 and ive deleted all files of it in the maps folder but whenever I try to play it it says missing map surf bonkers v2 bsp or some shit. Tried downloading the bsp and nav bsp got them in but still says missing no matter what so i assume its not just me but idk.

I had similar problems when I was surfing with FaceIt Anti Cheat turned on. Have you checked that you are not running any 3rd party anti-cheats?

How do I check that? I notice after surfing for a while if i go to start competitive it will make me restart the game saying "3rd party something installed please restart"

Thats normal. It's something they added recently. I don't think theres a way around that.

Yeah, unfortunately after this update Valve made it so you must restart your game to join matchmaking after playing on any community servers.

It does not, as your client should be downloading a compressed version of the map: https://fastdl.snksrv.com/maps/surf_bonkers_v2.bsp.bz2

When the compressed version is unavailable, CS:GO will fallback to the raw bsp and attempt to download that.

huh.. yeah I tried everything except for the last DNS step i guess ill give that a shot tomorrow. seems weird cuz the files always end up in my maps folder but it still says missing

That's odd, if the files end up being downloaded it seems more of a CS:GO issue than anything else. Once the map makes it to your PC, it's entirely out of our hands ?‍♂️
