Accepted/Completed Massive Amounts of Points Lost

Hey, was chilling on the server today and out of nowhere I became Elite ranked instead of Veteran. I check my rank and points and it says I had 60k, but I am sure I had 65k yesterday and also it had said I was 4k points away from veteran. I would just like to know if this was because of new ranking systems or a bug.

Stage points are retrieved via a web API, and we had just experienced some unexpected downtime on the webserver for a few minutes, it's since been fixed.
