No Change/Rejected Need some form of administration on Bhop

Hey, I thought it'd be appropriate to mention one of the main problems we have that is unaddressed on the bunny hop server. We don't have any moderators or admins. The closest person we have would be mbhound, who is limited by positional restrictions.

Additionally, it's important to note that people who want to apply for moderator are restricted by the fact that they need an endorsement from an admin or mod, which is difficult for us players who don't actively play on surf. Because the bunnyhop and surf server don't have that much of a community overlap, it's especially difficult to get to know people from other servers, and the more populated surf servers aren't as community-based, rather, there's more randoms and the bonding experience with others is more akin to a competitive match than an actual server (at least in my limited experiences).

There's a plethora of players who have hundreds of hours of experience in the server, and who I would deem suitable to help administrate the server. And while I do agree that pinging admins or asking for help from other servers is a valid solution to this problem, it would be nice to have someone active and almost exclusively for bunny hop.

Occasionally, players who don't actively play may harass or annoy others by negating their input and saying inappropriate or bannable words and expressions. Additionally, having someone who can !voteextend or solve player's individual needs would be nice too. Once again, I realize that using the forums or discord is suitable for this, but not everyone cares enough or wants to be involved in the community outside the server due to the extra effort it takes.

While I would like to apply for moderator, I'm currently waiting until six months after my previous ban, which was accidental, but shortened, which I greatly appreciated. Hopefully, we can get an admin or mod before those six months are up, but if not, I'll gladly apply myself.

Overall, while this is more of a community-based issue rather than a systemic one, I'd find it very helpful to get administration or mods from other servers to hop over to bhop, even occasionally would be nice. We have a consistent playerbase, maybe not the magnitude of the surf server, but our server still matters, and we, I believe in consensus, desire some administration.

Still, it's an issue and it's important to address. Most players, especially new players who receive harassment or shit from other players don't even know about the call admin command. I hate to admit it myself, but I didn't know it was a feature either. I understand your point, but you can't deny that admins on our server would be far more convenient than having to call admins and bother people whenever someone does something dumb. Either way, it's still an issue, and to emphasize, a single dedicated moderator or admin is FAR more convenient than the call command.

I suppose the issue is somewhat more of a convenience issue, but that doesn't mean it should be neglected entirely.

Sure It would be convient to have a mod in every server at all times but it won’t happen.

Our mods and admins are volunteers and I personally think in our current state that the servers are being taken care of.

Like I said before, if you need an admin use !calladmin and one will be there in a couple minutes. Your argument saying one should be there before makes no sense when you can use it when a problem occurs. No matter how many admins we add to the team, people think it’s not enough.

Again I personally feel that our staff is in a good place.

I understand what Storm is saying, but I do think that it might be a good idea to add mods that main on the Bhop server. It's good to have a administrative presence to keep the tards wrangled.

I’m working on the problem with the presence in the bhop server. That being said it still does not take away from the fact that calladmin is a tool that solves this problem.

Myself and other staff members I am speaking with will make it a point to visit the server more often.

Going through the log there is hardly any calladmins from the bhop server. If you want to develop a ground basis for your argument you need to develop a reason for it, and having an abundance of calladmins coming from that server is the way to do it.

Even though calling works, I feel like if the bhop server had staff that mainly played on that server it would be better than someone going in there once and a while to claim a call.

I think bhop staff is a great idea. Or just give it to mbhound tbh
