The points update is here!
Second round of updates (~6:30pm EST & later):
- MAJOR Surf Timer Update:
- Bonus points halved across the board. As widely discussed, bonuses have been overweighted since the beginning. The fact that you could gain more points from a few bonuses, than completing a map, was a bit ridiculous. Farming bonuses was becoming a common way of unfairly climbing the ranks, this has seem to put a reasonable end to it.
- Stage points implemented! Here is the points breakdown:
- Rank 1: 100 pts
- Rank 2: 75 pts
- Rank 3: 55 pts
- Rank 4: 40 pts
- Rank 5: 30 pts
- Rank 6: 25 pts
- Rank 7: 20 pts
- Rank 8: 15 pts
- Rank 9: 12 pts
- Rank 10: 10 pts
- Any Rank: 5 pts
- Side HUD Added. You can turn it on in your surf timer settings - shows map, WR, your PB (if applicable), WRCP, and your current stage record.
- All teleport commands are now throttled, and displays a message if firing the command too fast.
- Several more phrases fixed & additions
- Fixed issue where sometimes players names weren't saved properly when completing a map time
- TONS of timer fixes & optimizations.
- Added surf_fathom (T3 Linear)
- Added surf_illumination (T3 Linear)
- Added surf_telstar (T3 Linear)

- Fixed practice/saveloc phrases not being loaded properly, therefore probably fixing the functions entirely if they were broken post-update
- Fixed players from not always teleporting to the start zone upon map change
- Players are now ordered in the scoreboard by points, old system required a rank recalculation before being in the proper order (WHY)
- Timer no longer unnecessarily slays players switching teams
- Fixed spec list for those who do not have the side HUD enabled, but spec list enabled
- Re-zoned surf_commune_again_beta5
- Added bonus to surf_the_gloaming_rat
