Accepted/Completed Large amounts of lag on the surf server lately

Can you remember what map was in play at the time? I know there was a version of dust2 cat that was poorly optimized and cause a LOT of frame drops.

when I play on surf or casual or competitive I get 280+ fps all the time on high settings 1920x1080.
When I go on the 1v1 server no matter the map Ill be around 140 and get dips to like 50 and then other laggy stuff too where the game just trips out.

Went ahead and merged the 2 threads because it seems to be the same issue.

yeah surf seems good now but 1v1 is pretty shiet even when i go down from 1920 to lower res

I never actually changed anything with surf. I needed to see if it was a placebo effect, this happens a lot in games like this. I've never personally experienced FPS drops/stutters outside of what CS:GO normally does, it's a horrendously finicky game.

I've made a couple experimental tweaks to 1v1 Arenas and Easy Surf, let's see if that does the trick.

the slowly moving down to ~30 frames from 300 frames on 1v1 has stopped for me as did the easy surf framerate stutter so I think it's good now

Awesome, glad to hear. I wonder if it was anything I did, or just the recent game updates addressing similar issues. I'll close this out and if it ever seems to come back, feel free to make another topic.
